Long Day’s Journey Into Night at the Guthrie Theater

For the first time in its 50-year history, the Guthrie will present Eugene O’Neill’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning autobiographical family drama One of the greatest plays ever written by an American playwright, featuring acting dream team Helen Carey, John Catron, Peter Michael Goetz and John Skelley under the direction of Guthrie Director Joe Dowling. Like most American families, the Tyrones have experienced highs and lows in life, rom fame and financial success to illness and loss. Yet it takes an ordinary day together in their seaside Connecticut home to face the fact that what’s holding them together could be tearing them apart.
